Ahhhh, Eureka!
Today while wandering around YouTubeland, I stumbled across a treasure: a recording of the Taize chant-prayer-hymn, "Veni Creator Spiritus." It's a beautifully melodic prayer of need, yearning, and gratitude. Simply exquisite . . . it never fails to send chills down my spine. So here it is. Savor and enjoy.

i adore Taize music. used to help lead it at the local centre here, miss it deeply. this is a particularly gorgeous rich and deeply evocative one.

Nicole, what a delight that must have been, leading a Taize service! If there were one held near me on a regular basis, I would probably find a way to participate. For now I must be content with attending the one that is held most years at the Los Angeles Religious Education conference … which is always a blessing.

yes, it was a real delight. sadly have never attended taize in France. Maybe someday!
Hi, Mary - no, I haven't been to Taize - but I've loved the music for years. I found it especially wonderful as a shared prayer practice as part of non-violent vigiling in Soulforce. And we sing it periodically at the Methodist church of which I'm a part. Taize podcasts hmmm? I may have to check those out - even with dial-up.
